Yes. No email wall, no time-limited trial, no nag screens. We make money from voluntary Pro donations and from optional cloud hosting later. The free WordPress plugin stays free.
Do I need to bring my own AI API key?
You can. AIMentor supports any provider, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok, OpenRouter, or local Ollama. If you want zero-config, the free tier ships with limited daily quota on Jag Journey’s pooled key.
What unlocks when I donate?

Does AIMentor slow down my live site?
No. The plugin only runs inside the Elementor editor for logged-in admins or editors. Visitors see zero AI code on the front end. The plugin self-deactivates its JavaScript on the public side.
Where does my content go when I generate?
Whichever AI provider you choose. We do not see, log, or store your prompts on our servers unless you opt into our pooled key. With BYO-key or local Ollama, your data never touches Jag Journey infrastructure.
Will you build a Gutenberg version next?
Yes, eventually. Elementor first because that is the build environment we and most of our clients live in. Gutenberg support is on the roadmap once the Elementor plugin is stable.
