When I lost Mallory, I lost a part of myself. The days that followed were the darkest I’ve ever known. For two years, I walked through a valley of pain and anguish that words cannot adequately describe. The knowledge that my daughter… my little girl who wanted to code alongside me… was taken by someone’s reckless choices… it nearly destroyed me.

I stepped away from everything in 2023. The business, the code, the dreams we had built together—none of it mattered anymore. I was lost, broken, and questioning everything I thought I knew about life and purpose.

Then came another test. A heart attack Aug 2025… not my first, and not my last. In fact, by God’s grace, I’ve survived nine brushes with death. Nine times I should have left this earth, and nine times the Lord said, “Not yet. I’m not done with you.”

It was in my darkest moment, lying in that hospital bed after my most recent heart attack, that I finally surrendered. I stopped asking “why” and started asking “what now?” And God, in His infinite mercy and wisdom, answered.

He reminded me that Mallory’s dream didn’t have to die with her. He showed me that my pain could become purpose, my grief could become grace, and my story could become strength for others walking through their own valleys.

I found renewed strength… not in myself, but in the One who has carried me through every storm. God didn’t just save my life nine times; He gave me a reason to live it.
